On a New Year’s Eve, Lucy Puzireva, a 26 year old English teacher meets two strange persons, Stick and Branch, on a bus stop. She starts a conversation with them, and figures they are foreigners, Irish to be exact, and they are lost. She invites them home. Lucy’s strange guests turn out to be elves from somewhere on the outskirts of Ireland, kicked out from the magic forest world by their terrible king Kron. The elven magically inclined kids bring disarray into the boring everyday life of one average citizen of one average Russian town, while as the same time they discover the peculiar details of Russian life and mentality.
One time, Stick and Branch decide to enrich their kind hostess’ life by marrying her to a young billionaire Sergei Prohorov, after finding his photo in a newspaper column about the “Most prominent Russian bachelors”. They teleport Sergei out of his luxurious apartment in London (or maybe even from the stadium during the match of personal football team) right into the far end of Russia.
Meanwhile Kron, the King of Elves, sends his good-for-nothing son Prince Rostick to find his lost servants.
And there will be a moment when all these magical and not-so much creatures meet.
